The only player on Calgary that is comparable to Fiala is Tkachuk. Would you like the same trade with Minnesota just Tkachuk instead of Fiala?

Gallagher is better than Zary will ever be. And anyway how many teams sacrifice future for present

That is the exact point I was making. That is the price Toffoli is for. If not Calgary another team will pay that amount for him

Welcome to CapFriendly. Sometimes, it's not too friendly, but don't let that discourage you.

I think that most of your trades overvalue the players on your favorite team. For example, I think the generally accepted trade value for Artturi Lehkonen is a third and for Brett Kulak is a fifth; Montembeault and Niku are barely worth a seventh. Chariot is not getting you a first and an A prospect and Detroit isn't trading their future #1RD for Jeff Petry. The Edmonton trade is an over-reach by Evan Bouchard.

Brendan Gallagher's contract is much, much worse than Milan Lucic's, in cap hit, term, and actual money. (Two and three seasons from now, he's getting paid a total of $17 million, and his contract runs for two years AFTER that.)

For the avs with Kuemper injured all the time you don't know what happens come playoff time. If you watched Habs hockey you would realize Allen is way better than stats show.
He also has 1 more year after this one on his contract. Plus 50% retained is for sure a first. Why does everyone on this site overvalue a first round pick. Both Calgarys and Colorados picks are gonna be late anyway

Wow I didn't think our D could be worse than the current version but you somehow managed to destroy any hope of a quick turn around with this ACGM. Savard shouldn't even make the team yet you think he deserves top pairing minutes!

Wow is that Oilers trade terrible. Bouchard is still going to have defensive lapses as a 22YO dman but is still on an ELC and playing at a 15G 49P pace with minimal PP time. Why would they give him, a 1st, and a 3rd for a couple depth dmen? The picks should be going the other way.

Minnesota isn't doing this! They aren't trading fiala for a winger, much less an older winger and a position thru don't need! They have matt boldy, Adam Beckman, connor dewar, etc... fiala is also much better than Tyler . MIN wouldn't be adding. Jordan Harris is nothing

Gallagher is better than lucic which makes the difference. Lehky in analytics is 7th in selection. seider and Lindstrom are in Detroit so bring in petry to mentor them, Seider is even with Hronek the future #1rd. Niku is former ahl dman of the year. Edmundson is worth it for Bouch, but I'll take off the 1st bc it's a bit too much. Agree with you on kulak. But jo jo got a 6th so Monty should at least get a 4th

Fiala is going to walk from minny next year 100%. He went to arbitration this year I think. He will get traded. Harris is projected to be a 2nd pair dman.

This is called decimating the team not rebuilding! These moves would mean our rebuild lasts 10+ years. This is ridiculous, name 1 team in the history of the NHL that moved almost an entire roster in one offseason!

First the rebuild is not finished yet, after this next year all the remaining old players will be off the team

FYI I never and still don't want a rebuild with this roster. There is too many good players of value on the team to trade. IMO Habs should start adding to make it better. But since every single fan starts yelling start the rebuild after every game loss. I just am saying don't rebuild but if you want to you'll have to do it this way

Minnesota is stacked at d, so no. Minnesota is also stacked at d prospect! Jordan Harris wouldn't even be any of Minnesota's top d prospect. Minnesota is fully stacked at d for years and years. It was Minnesota who took fiala to arbitration, not fiala, so you are wrong. Again, Minnesota is stacked at winger and only trading fiala for a top 6 c, otherwise no deal! They aren't taking any winger much less any long term winger contract they have zero need for

avs wouldnt trade Frankie for Allen..., when healthy Francouz is the better goalie, and you think you can get a 1st and Logan O'Connor? Yikes this is just some beyond Montreal homerism.

Do you even know how good O'Connor is?
