No way Canucks do that. Colorado can't afford that. I doubt Labanc is a cap dump.

Wow this is all just bad for Montreal, Guhle and Norlinder would make the team before we traded for Doormat and Holl

Remove the 3rd from Montreal and replace Valimaki with a 2nd, then the deal is probably fair

Hard to argue that value from Calgary's end when Valimaki is currently buried in the minors

The worst part of this isn't even the low value you place on our current players, the worst part is that you traded everyone a way and made the team worse than the current version. Your top 2 lines are about the same maybe slightly better with Monahan but those bottom 6 and that D are so much worse its not even funny. And the goaltending would be worst in the league. There are so many holes in the lineup it would take the new GM 10-15 years just to fill them.

Edit The only 2 good peices on this D are Romanov and Valimaki

Maybe you are overvaluing most of Montreal's players as oppose to me undervaluing them. You're right, this team isn't particularly deep but that's to be expected at the beginning of a rebuild, it doesn't look any worse off here than the current lineup of the team

no. not even with salary retained.

1) even with habs maintaining 50% his contract is too long
2) his play in declining
3) he now has off ice issues to go with his one ice issues

the only plausible scenario is habs buy him out and avs sign a 1-2 year cheap deal.

It's just a 3rd round pick, but Minnesota has zero need for wingers much less bottom line winger!

Considering, guys like Freidman have said that the values of guys like Lehkonen and Allen is a 2nd and that Montreal could get a 1st + 3rd for Chiarot and Edmundson is a better D man, I would say your values are low. If Chiarot gets a 1st + 3rd Edmundson gets a 1st + 3rd + B/C prospect.

the avs do not want a 34 year old 7m aav goalie, they dont want price at 5m, they dont want period. he hasn't been a league average goalie over the past 4 years. Even at 50% that is a bad contract for his on ice results.

If the avs wanted a goalie with that much term and cap hit, they would have just signed Grubauer,

Edmundson absolutely doesn't get a 1st, and I don't see how Allen or Lehkonen get 2nds, they are serviceable players, but no other team is giving the benefit of the doubt to really any of the Habs players with how the team has played this season

I think Lehkonen would be a nice fit in Minny tbh

Avs would trade a 2nd and 3rd for a younger goalie they would take a shot on over a huge risk in Price....he hasn't even played a single minute in over 8months, why do we assume at 34 coming off major injuries and already decling that he is going to be magically good again?

If Avs were goign to give 6m aav to a over 35+ goalie, just offer it to MAF instead.

Minnesota has zero room at all or need considering duhaime and bjustad or duhaime and rem are Minnesota 4th line back and fourth and Greenway with foligno, Matt boldy is getting called up to pair with Fiala and look like Rossi is getting called up alsp

Is he buried? He is 23, waiver exempt, and not playing any games on the main roster. This is not at all similar to someone like Thomas Hickey. He's been a point per game since being sent down too.

Your argument is kinda flawed too, are you trying to say Valimaki isn't worth much? In that case why would Montreal want him over the 2nd?
