Calgary does not need LD and needs the cap space for next season. Any trade for Chychrun would need Kylington as a centerpiece

It’s not about filling a hole though, Calgary is trying to win a Cup and if they think this could put them over the top, you do it

Next year isn’t really a concern though, we have a chance to win this year and we have to find a way to do that. I don’t think we’ll have another chance anytime soon. I think not trading for Chychrun would be much like not trading for Stone. Just my thoughts, if I’m being honest, haven’t watched enough Flames games this year to be sure of their situation

If anything the Flames would be trading future assets for a position of need, maybe a forward. Calgary defence seems just fine now.

I don't think Chychrun puts us over the top. We severely lack scoring past the 1st line. Adding offense should be priority #1 and nothing out there should cost us Pelletier
