Is Yamamoto really a bottom.6 player?

My feeling is he is top 6 or not playing in Edmonton.......

Making a 3rd line of Crouse-McCloed-Foegele..... which could be kind of nasty to play against

Georgiev should burn Edmonton for a first. 2nd probably, but not a 1st. Young enough, but his numbers since Sheshterkin's arrival have been meh.

Would you like to take a look a georgievs numbers the past month with some actual consistent playing time, then come back and edit your post

I agree not a 1st but for different reasons. When has a G ever fetched a 1st? They just don’t get valued the same as other players. Georgiev last 7 games has been under 2GAA, Over .931 sv%. He’s been one of the better G in the league in that span. Now he was way under performing at the beginning, not sure why, maybe out of shape🤷🏻‍♂️ Only way we get a 1st is in a biding war or because it might take that to pull him away from us before the TDL. But my bet is on the 2nd also

So we should ignore the past 2 years and just look at the last month? tears of joy

Even Cam Talbot didn't cost a first. There's no justification for this stupidity.

The kid is 25, young G are often streaky and have lots of bad games. I’d be more inclined to watch the trend then to say “but he was just okay in his first 2 seasons” if he keep his numbers in the .930+ sv% and 2.0 GAA or better for the next month you may be looking at him a bit differently. It’s likely a 2nd unless there’s a bidding war or we just don’t want to part with him before TDL. Stats like that are nice to have in a backup going into playoffs so they might not bother moving him at all. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think I inferred his lack of playing time is an issue, but I don't think he is worth a 1st. 2nd absolutely. 1st no.

Nailed it.

Georgiev could be a starter, but has at no point played the games in a season to suggest he is a guy that can handle 55 games (where a 1st is a place one would go).

As it sits, split time guy and a good one at that.
