Maybe last year, but Fabbro has been solid this season. Definitely not trading him for Barrie.

Someone hasn't been watching Fabbro all season. NSH emphatically declines.

Even last year, when I would have been interested in swapping Fabbro for another young player who hadn't put it together yet - but not for an older 2nd pairing dman.

While value wise the devils would accept other then him and Ty Smith (right now) is there anyone else capable of playing 20 minutes a game on the left side?

Siegenthaler has been playing 20+ minutes a night for them recently

Gotta be able to find a similar 2nd pair LHD to Graves without spending a 1st round pick, with Broberg on his way they don't need a guy with term either.

Would Barrie and a mid round pick next year be better?

Siegenthaler. Has been awesome defensively this year. If the game is on the line, and we are up by a goal, it’s probably Siegenthaler and Severson out there.

Dougie is out for a while with a broken jaw due to deflected shot. So I doubt we move a d-man anytime soon. Also, Smith can play RD as well, so we have some left/right flexibility.

Bahl is the guy who would ultimately make Graves expendable. But he still has some kinks to iron out before he is a full-timer. Small chance it could be Okhotiuk for physicality alone.

Luke Hughes, Mukhamadullin won’t arrive until Graves contract is up.

With the way Fabbro has played this season, absolutely not. Would you accept Myers and a 2nd for Bouchard or Broberg?

NSH has no interest or need for Barrie. They wouldn't be interested in trading a 23 year old, RFA, top 4 defenseman for 30 year old, one-dimensional defenseman even if there was a 1st attached. And he wouldn't even get the PP time he needs to be effective since NSH already has Josi in that role. There just isn't a fit for Barrie in NSH.

And as far as an in-season trade, I don't see NSH trading any of their RHD. Maybe Fabbro could be moved in the off-season (though I doubt it at this point), but I think they would be looking for a similar aged/skilled forward as opposed to a guy like Barrie.

At this point I think Fabbro and carrier stay. Myers may be moved if any of the rhd are moved

That's what it feels like, but I don't want them to sell low on Myers either. I hope they keep Myers for next season and roll those three on the right side, then they can make a decision in the off-season on what to do as all 3 of their contracts are up.

Josi - Fabbro
Ekholm - Carrier
Farrance - Myers

That's what I would like to see next season if Farrance is ready.

I’m not trading fabbro. He’s still young and developing every game. I’ve enjoyed watching him this year. He seem to learn a lot from his mistakes last year.
