You might get a lot of hate for trading Draisatl...

Habs would accept this as it would be the biggest fleece of the century

I really try refrain from using this term as this is more a forum for fantasy GM's, but all those trades are DUMB... They make 0 sense whatsoever, and if you're going to trade the no 2 player in the world the return better be significantly better than what's there AND you better deal them AWAY from your conference, not within your division...

I would trade Mcdavid before i trade draisaitl. The guy is the heart and soul of the team.

Also, it's laughable that you have Kassian going away in one deal, only to go out and get the biggest cancer in professional hockey, at a higher cap hit(even with retained salary) and longer term, who has negative value for San Jose right now(likely to be bought out this summer) and give up assets for it... Sorry dawg this are all awful ideas...

Yes, Mcdavid is either on or off and he is very difficult to get linemates for, Draisaitl can get the puck to his linemates from anywhere and score at will. If Draisaitl had somebody better than yamamoto on his wing he would be 20 points more than Mcdavid every season. His wingers miss 1 wide open net a game from his passes.

That’s insane. I get that world class players need similar players next to them, which is ver hard to accomplish. I feel the same way with kopitar. Not on mcdavid level, but he’s never really had the line mates to have with his IQ level. Kopitar has, for the most part, a rotating line. It’s frustrating to watch as a kings fan. But didn’t know that about mcdavid. Because of the point production he has

Yes the only one who seems to be able to play with mcdavid is draisaitl because mcdavid always cuts to the net in weird ways nobody can read him. The only other player to be effective with mcdavid was patrick maroon.

i honestly dont know why we dont try benson with him. maroon wasnt a great skater but had good hockey sense and could produce with mcd. i dont see why benson couldnt due to his game coming around at the NHL level and creating a lot better chances lately.

So a late 1st and two cap dumps for Allen, Lehkonen and a 4th is a fleece? Barrie could be flipped but it would involve a 50% retention to get something decent back (Maybe a 2nd?) and Koskinen is bad and paid 4.5M$. Lehkonen should return his initial draft capita (2nd) and Allen without retention should -at least- be another 2nd. Now put on the 9M$ dumps coming back and I have to give a 4th away ... Seems pretty slim to me.

I guess I see a lot of value in Barrie, also RHD is a need for us.

I'd probably switch Lekhonen for Armia to balance the cap.

Gallagher will have a full blown depression if we trade another of his friends.
