no from the Oilers.

I cannot stress this enough, the Oilers need a STARTER. Year after year having aging veterans who are at best backups isn’t cutting it. Skinner is guaranteed the backup role as he is no longer waiver exempt next season. Halak is Just more of the same.

Chaisson ran his course here. Just not a very effective player anymore. Don’t want him.

Savoie is the type of prospect we should keep in the system

Ummm I’d do that from an oilers perspective…. Not sure why seeing oilers reject comments.
Oilers aren’t getting a proven number one goalie during the year that shouldn’t even be in people’s heads it’s next to impossible and the costs would be way way too high with the amount of other glaring holes. Best bet do something smaller like this bring in a solid back up to get threw the rest of the year and look closer in the offseason.

Which part of Halak tells you he’s an upgrade of Koskinen or Smith? I think all are equally inadequate starters…. If you want to swap a goalie for a goalie hoping a change of scenery sparks a good hot streak. But once you start including decent prospects I just don’t think the Oilers should have interest

Most importantly it’s for kosk own good. He needs out of this toxic environment fans created around him. Even a sideways trade at this point will have positive effects on the team. Really I just want smith and skinner but being unable to rely on smith to stay healthy need an extra veteran around. If smith is healthy he’s the guy If he’s out skinner is brought back and let him run with it. Either way halak is just there to play the odd game.
