Lets not forget there is also Greig, Sokolov, Boucher likely in the line up in the next 3 years.

You guys have an incredible problem in that you have too many good prospects lol.

How’s Boucher looking? I really questioned that pick at the draft and still do but haven’t been following him this season. Tbh I thought for sure Ottawa might’ve taken a chance on Wallstedt.

Boucher has had a tough ear at Bu and didn't see eye to eye with the coach so now he is going to play for the Ottawa 67's in the OHL. I think that is going to work out for the best, he needs more ice time and to get bigger. the Scouting report on him is real physical play with scoring touch, think like a Tom Wilson but likely not as high a ceiling.

Gotta love Bruce Garrioch lol

Also Kuzmenko is eligible for a 1 year ELC in 22-23 but hey I'm sure he'd take 4.5 mil

Under no circumstances do you gotta love Bruce Garrioch. He's the worst.

That’s why you draft nemec/Jiricek and trade one of JBD/Thompson for a forward.

Man Ottawa is setup for the future.

Yeah!

But would need new ownership, then new management and coaching.

Great stable of young talent, but can't see them winning with that trio

Are you satisfied with the pick? Obviously hindsight is 20/20 but I feel like there were much better choices.

It starts with ownership. I don’t actually dislike Dorian. A better coach would help.

It seems logical. Especially nemec. I’m high on him, would be a great pick for Ottawa. How are you feeling about the Boucher pick at this point? I feel like it just wasn’t the right move at all for Ottawa.

I thought they were going with Silinger or Coronato tbh

Looking back on it now sillinger would’ve been a solid pick. I thought at the time they’d go with Wallstedt. When I look at Ottawa I always questioned where they’re headed in net.

i mean they took sogard early in the 2nd round in 2019. Hes putting up good numbers in the AHL in his first year and hes huge

True but I also had high hopes for Gustavsson and Hogberg as well as daccord. None have panned out so hopefully sogaard does.

Gus still looks good but our D is terrible this year. I think he becomes a 1B

I don't dislike Dorion but from what I have seen the last 6 years, he is not qualified to be a NHL GM at all. Great scout eye for young talent but I think that's where it stops for him.

As for the ownership change, we've been waiting for 5 years straight, and even before that for many

It was a stupid pick the minute it was made. A guy you get at the end of the first round? Sure, but 10th OA when Sillinger, Coronato, Lucius and Lysell were still available? Heck, I would have rather picked Wallstedt even though the Sens don't need goalie prospects at all

Sogaard's development is going extremely well, IMO he's going to be a BEAST

Gustavsson's development turned around drastically last season, he has been excellent in all his NHL games except maybe 2 games. Don't get fooled by numbers, it's impossible to have just decent goalie numbers on the Sens these days, our defensive play is terrible and it starts with coaching. They just can't do it. The team can be interesting to watch offensively but the rest is not NHL level, or barely.

There's also Merilainen 19 y/o who was Finland's starter at the WJC, this kid has nice potential as well. And not as known but can't count him out, Kevin Mandolese, pretty good frame
