I don't see where they have the room for him in their top 9 -- he'd be amazing next season if they don't re-sign Perron, but they already have a stacked top 9 for this season. I think they're more interested in adding a defenseman right now.

Fair enough I kinda figured they might be okay with their top 9

Blues take this and run and figure it out later tho that’s basically two firsts and a second so I would make it a 3rd instead preferably or another first round pick prospect instead of the first

Honestly if Miller leaves that forward corps is in shambles. He's the engine of that team. Canucks better be making sure he's happy so he signs an extension in the summer

He has another year left on his deal which gives us some flexibility. I’d say not to trade him until next years deadline if we are out of the playoff picture

I'd wager money that Canucks are a gauranteed playoff contender next post-season if not this one. I'd go so far as to say it's going to be harder for them not to be a playoff team next season than to make it

Uhh no they do not. And not just because they don't have the cap for it.

Dude, they are not trading two 1sts and a 2nd for a total luxury item. The only thing they'd deal that for is Chych. And again, there's no cap for this.

Miller would be a perfect add for the Blues and this price is pretty fair (though I would try to make the 2nd rounder a 3rd). Problem is Schenn's contract because of cap reasons.

Value looks fair for both sides in my opion. That said, I think Canucks could get pretty close to this package (first and a high end prospect, probably no second) next trade deadline so maybe that makes more sense.

I also have no clue if Bolduc is good or not, just that he was a high pick. If he's killing it then I understand why the Blues wouldn't want this.
