Ghostisbere had good numbers last season - if Lou took on Ghost along with a 2nd rd pick, it would have been a great move. Not much term, elite puck mover , solid on the Powerplay.

you talking about types of fans, I definitely know your type - you were in favor of dumping Toews to get rid of Boychuk lmaooo. I don't think your words hold much weight when you thought it was a good move to get rid of a top pairing D who also happens to be miles better than Chychrun right now.

if beau wasn’t an islander you wouldn’t care at all about him… those are the facts. You’re attached cause he’s an islander.

I also love how a few comments ago you brought up Josh Bailey. You’re literally *that* islander fan. Josh Bailey is a guy who produces when it counts.

The facts are that Beau has been one of the NHL's most clutch playoff performers over the past two seasons. The numbers back that up, you can't even find anything to dispute that. The only thing you can come up with is "Beau wasn't an islander you wouldn't care about him" - because the numbers all point to him being a top 6 two way forward who's clutch in the playoffs.

Bailey was good a few years ago, but he has fallen off a cliff. Unfortunately for the isles, his awareness on the powerplay in game 7 against Tampa cost the isles. Bailey is also at the bottom of the league in most offensive and defensive metrics this season. Can you prove me wrong?

Bailey has had more points the last two runs by a considerable margin. There’s no point in wasting my time anymore. I know your type, it’s fine. You’re not unique

Bailey was a passenger during the 20-21 playoffs, he was great during the 19-20 playoffs. Beauvillier's play during the 20-21 playoffs was far superior to Bailey's, almost all of his goals were clutch, can't say the same for Bailey.

It's unfortunate you can't be a man and give me your thoughts on Bailey ruining the isles best chance to reach the SCF. What a shame.

and was by far their worst defensive forward and cost the isles a shot at the Stanley cup. Beauvillier and Nelson carried him. So you were in favor of trading Toews and now Beauvillier but you have a 33 year old washed up Bailey on the 2nd line. Player evaluation might not be your strength.

The numbers don't lie! It's very telling you can't formulate a legitimate argument.

you proposed trading Toews+Boychuk for a 3rd in this ACGM and then elaborated why you would trade him in the comments. It's hilarious that you wanted Toews gone and now want to overpay for a much worse defenseman in Chychrun.

certainly doesn’t take a genius to realize isles needed to shed cap in 2020 offseason. Isles didn’t trade toews cause he’s a bad player

You were attempting to justify trading Toews based on his play in the Tampa series. You clearly undervalued what he brought to the isles. You don’t trade elite players to dump contracts.

There were other ways to shed cap - the isles had offers for Nick Leddy , don’t re-sign Matt Martin, bury Ross Johnston in the minors. The narrative that they had to trade Toews isn’t true. They chose to keep a much worse defenseman and a few plugs over Toews.

it’s true, toews took TWO too many men penalties in a decisive game. Imagine if Bailey did that? Just saying

Elite player, yeah, but they didn’t trade him cause of the penalties. Just clearly valued more by you and majority of the NHL now that he’s off the islanders

Yeah imagine if Toews decided to abandon his assignment on a penalty kill during a game 7, leaving his man Yanni Gourde all alone to score the game winning goal.

I’m not talking about the islanders, you clearly thought it was a logical thing to trade an elite player to dump a contract. Toews was considered the most underrated defenseman in the NHL when he was on the islanders, there were plenty of articles written about him.

I asked for 5 articles written about toews being underrated when he was an islander and you produced 2., one of which is based on his time with the islanders.

no actually both are based on his time with the islanders, he never played a game for the Avs when both of these were written. idgaf that you asked for 5 tears of joy

Everyone knew Toews was one of the more underrated defenseman in the NHL except a portion of the isles fanbase who were fixated on a few mistakes in the playoffs.

I don’t get what you don’t understand. This isn’t about what the islanders have done - You just proposed a trade paying 3x what Chychrun is actually worth and act all arrogant when someone challenges you on it, yet you thought it was a good idea to trade both Pulock and Toews for scraps in one offseason, who are both at least two tiers above Chychrun.

Based on your comments, you 100% wanted to trade Pulock and Barzal for Duchene 5 years ago. “Barzal hasn’t proved anything , Pulock isn’t good “ 😂
