No team is taking on Kassian's contract without sending cap back to the Oilers. This team posted has absolutely no cap flexibility next season, and just won't be able to find a good goalie or sign it's RFAs.

Lets break down this Habs-Oilers trade

Toffoli, former 30 goal guy but more like a 20-25 goal guy. Team friendly deal for 2 more years.

Lavoie is garbage. 9 points in 23 ahl games as a 21 year old.
Habs dont need Oliver Rodrigue and none of those picks are 1st rounders

So the Habs laugh and hang up the phone before you even finish explaining
