Tad bit of an overpay. Like I think that kind of a package could get you retention as well

2nd and 5th instead of a 1st would be better. Currently it's a bit of an overpay

I don't like this offer from Detroit's point of view. Neither of the players offered bring any value at all and the pick could be two years away. I'd much rather have a 2nd round pick in '22 than a 1st round pick in '24.

Maybe a 2nd + later pick

Would a 2nd + late pick be enough if you can’t get a 1st RD pick for Leddy

Yeah without retention this would be better

FLO doesn’t have a 2022 1st or 2nd RD pick so I pushed it too 2023, which is one year away not two

With the lottery protection it could very well end up two years away.

Other teams have 2nd round picks in '22 to offer and also players more useful to Detroit. The risk of having to wait for 6-7 years before getting anything useful out of Leddy isn't especially enticing. I'd much rather deal him to a team that offers a prospect that can make the team within two years at the most.

I agree with the statement about the pick. I wonder if a player like Loustarinen could be a target for Detroit? Also would Florida be willing to trade him? He seems like he's pushed down the line up because of their depth at centre right now. Also how is Joulevis play there? I wonder if detroit would take a flyer on him as well. Just trying to gauge other possibilities.

I'd take the first, if you can get it.
