Description
The Vancouver trade is expensive, but helps tremendously for 2 playoff runs. Kinda like the McDonagh trade back in the day. If not I believe with these same pieces and potentially including Kravtsov we might be able to grab a different top 6 center. Either way we have options. I personally think letting Strome walk is a mistake and if it took giving him 8 years to keep him under $6 mil, I’d do it. Kinda like the Ryan Nugent Hopkins or Zach Hyman deals.

I think that's a pretty good offer for Miller. Retaining this year doesn't hurt but next year may be a steep ask with bonuses and other cap woes.

If that’s the case, then I keep Strome as 2C, get a depth faceoff guy for the bottom 6 and trade for a RW on a cheap contract or ELC.

I like Nils Lundkvist, but he isn't as attractive as Schneider, Rangers need to add a fair bit more than what is already there, and Chytil's value is low right now

We aren't on any drugs, Vancouver has no urgent need to move Miller as he's under contract for another year, they can just sit back and wait for a better offer to come their way down the road when another team may be more desperate with a more sizeable offer

chytil is laughable at best this season
that first is gonna be a late first as when you trade for miller, its presumed that you are making a run
nils is the only decent piece and isnt even as good as schneider

for 50% retained as well, we not taking that for sure

Thanks, I think the Canucks are good with shopping Miller as far as they think they can take it, I think he's that valuable of a commodity with the type of player he is and the way he plays the game. They should at least be able to get a quality roster player which Chytil hasn't really been this season, in addition to a 1st rounder and a good prospect
