Nope. Geo retained and Chytil and Rooney are worth more than a 1st. Dumping koskinen and turris would cost a 1st = two 1sts

So Arizona wins a 1C, and flips him for 2 late 1sts? Can we have laf and kakko for a 7th while we’re living in fantasy land?

Two 1sts and 2 seconds( if you wanted even more kicks at the can) Plus bailing ARZ out of some $.

Those contracts are all expiring, you’re not bailing them out of anything. You’re fleecing the yotes out of a 1C. You don’t take kicks at the can over the #1 pick, when you have 7 other picks in the first 2 rounds as it is

I don't see why the Coyotes would trade Shane Wright

Definitely the Yotes wouldn’t do it, but personally speaking the Yotes shouldn’t even have a franchise let alone ruin a potential generational player in Wright with their incompetence. If the NHL was smart they’d make sure he wound up in a bigger market. Meaning Canada, Pittsburgh, Philly, Detroit, Washington, Boston, Chicago, NY, California, Vegas or even Seattle to give them a leg up. That’s how you continue to grow the game imo. The Coyotes are a failed experiment.

Sometimes GMs value having more picks. I’m more than happy to keep them in a deep draft.

Oilers don't need to dump those contracts they are both expiring at the end of the year

Most times, GMs values the guy who was compared to McDavid

Canes pass hard. Stepan is an extra. Strome would be the 4C (He's not better than Aho, he's not better than Trocheck, and he's not better in a play driving aspect or a shutdown role than Jordan Staal. I would also have trouble putting him above a player who's scoring at a 0.75 PPG rate since moving to the middle. Also, potential offersheets for Montreal are going to require that 1st rounder

Congrats on a truly idiotic take. Growing the game gave the league Auston matthews, might’ve heard of him? Yeah he’s from Arizona and grew up watching the coyotes. People spew this nonsense and have absolutely no idea the details around why the coyotes are in the position they’re in. Also Pittsburgh? They’ve almost been moved how many times? Vegas? Gifted a cup final team? This is ridiculous

The less that is said about these trades the better. Those are just rough, to say the least. Canes have no need for Strome, so giving up a first and Stepan for him would be counterproductive.

Oh ok, since Monday every EDM acgm has had 1 if not both being dumped for cap room. Figured I’d make one which also offers more depth/skill in return.

Just because he plays C for us doesn’t mean that’s the only position he plays. He is an immediate upgrade to fast on 2RW. Filling the 4C should be easy from what I’ve heard from CAR fans about guys like Necas and others who aren’t in the 1C,2C,3C spots. Do you not have a simple 4C replacement???

Carolina's center core is the deepest in the NHL.

Aho
Trocheck
Staal
Kotkaniemi

Strome isn't an upgrade on Teuvo, and he's not an upgrade on Necas... I'd have a difficult time saying he's also beating out Jarvis in the top 9. Strome to Carolina just doesn't make sense right now. If there's a season-ending injury to someone like Trocheck (god forbid) maybe... but not in the current situation.

Just telling you the truth... Carolina are the best team in the NHL for a reason. Strome is a 40 point guy that plays with Panarin

Are those numbers from before the NYR? Because it’s not from the games on NYR without bread in the lineup

Nope, from EH regarding his scoring rate when he's playing with and without Panarin...

So you're a homer! Congratulations!

most people are trading koskinen to make space for another goalie
