As for the overrated/underrated survey, these kinds of lists are always completely bull. Campbell being top 5 in overrated AND underrated just tells you how “credible” this list is. Also I wouldn’t say Pettersson is overrated considering everyone has been crapping on him and calling him the next Loui Eriksson (no disrespect to the 🐐) Also Hughes should be underrated cause he’s been having a very good year and nobody has been talking about him. Anyways, that’s just my take on that list

Advanced analytics are pretty good reference for things that can't be measured like defense, quality of competition, etc. Stats don't tell the whole story

For example, last year, if you looked at ONLY the points, you would think Barrie was the best offensive dman. But with advanced analytics, you could see other factors like defense which aren't very noticeable on the stat sheet to see guys like Fox, Makar, etc were better.

I know it's a fan survey, and I know Jfresh didn't personally make the rankings. But they were voted on by people who follow him and it's not a farfetched assumption that his analytical ratings of players have some impact on how these people voted.

It's nonsense because the terms "overrated" and "underrated" need context. Do these people think Marner, Kane and Draisaitl are valued too highly for their ability? Are they paid too much for what they provide? Does hockey media talk about them too much?
