Would rather move a pick for Barrie if Klingberg walks. Hakanpää is solid.

Not gonna lie, it’s kind of a red flag that every single Oilers trade proposal is about trading away Barrie. Has he been that bad? Why does seemingly every Oilers fan want to trade him?

They need to stop treating him like he’s prime Paul Coffey

They think they can get a very good return for him yet his value rivals well that depends on who you ask

He could be ok if utilized well. He's a good pp QB but SUCKS defensively. The oilers are the last team that needs a defenceman like that with all their issues defensively (not to mention bouchard has taken his role as the teams best offensive dman). A team like dallas that is solid defensively but could use some help offensively (especially with klingberg leaving) could use him on their blue line.

The problem with Barrie is that his strengths lie in playing with guys like MacKinnon, Matthews, Marner, McDavid and Draisaitl. DAL hasn't got the assets his strengths would get fed by.

While I agree that we need an offensive D-man, I'm afraid Barrie would go waste with us. Can't have him sitting on the bench all situations except PP.

Good point, he isn't as amzing offensively as his point total shows. A lot of his assists come from second assists on the pp where he just feeds mcdavid or draisaitl. He still is good offensively but you're definitely right about a lot of his points coming from playing with talent up front.

Would the Jackets have any interest in Barrie? Could feed Laine for one timers on the power play.

Lol, idk you'd have to ask Jackets fans about that.

Whats with all the Roslovic trades here today, his name in the rumor mill or something?

Nah his contract is just about to expire and because the market and Columbus both are relatively meh people think he might be available

Don't see that happening. Maybe Nyquist for Barrie.
