Holland will have a hard time finding another job with that trade on his resume.

I thought I saw the worst Pens trade on here ever yesterday, but this is a close second. Hextall would instantly be fired if he did that. Miller is barely worth a 3rd.

Even Chiarelli wouldn't be crazy enough to make that trade

I think this depends on what you think of Zucker not the value of Miller.

If they want to move Zuckers contract out so it's off the book, Miller expires next year. So you open up 5.5 mil of cap going forward.
I'm not saying Zucker doesn't have value here. But I think reality is he's hard to move. If they wanted to dump him it would cost them something.
If you think Miller is worth a 3rd, then the cost of moving Zucker next year is the difference between a 3rd and 2nd.
I honestly don't think that's too bad. I would rather have 5.5 in cap than Zucker. I think I could do more with the cap in FA. Hextall could too.

To be honest I hate all 4 deals here for differing reasons.

1. Is simple since I have no idea who that prospect is and that makes me angry lol

2. Lavoie is a great prospect, but I want nothing to do with Tyson Barrie or his contract. Barrie is the complete opposite style of Dman than we need. We need either a defensive stalwart or a seasoned competent vet(short term) Barrie is an offensive defenseman that is softer than warmed butter.

3. I can't see the Rangers doing that and even then it would depend on Nemeth's situation. I don't want any locker room cancers or even potential ones.

4. Like the Edmonton trade, I have zero interest in bringing in longer term cap dumps. Miller is worth a 2nd at 50% retention and that's where I'd stop the offer.

LOL, did anyone follow the links?
The title says is all, "MY favorite trades"!
Bottom line, I made some comments, but you do not like the trades NP, then I can retract them all.

Holland will have a hard time finding another job with that trade on his resume. Makar certainly reduces the value of Barrie. If Holland wants to open up cap space to other TDL acquisitions, and thinks Pysyk would improve the defense, who knows knows what will happen.

I thought I saw the worst Pens trade on here ever yesterday, but this is a close second...Unless, he could pick up a different winger at the TDL and wanted to add an PP specialist to improve the power play.

Even Chiarelli wouldn't be crazy enough to make that trade He did like to swing for the fences.

I think this depends on what you think of Zucker not the value of Miller...and what the HC thinks he needs. I completely agree.

No NHL defenseman had more pts than Barrie last year, See above how others view this trade,
Nemeth could immediately be sent to Rochester or bought out so he never sees the Buffalo locker room. Chytil was a first round pick in 2017 and had 22 pts in 42 games last year.
Getting a second AND Zucker would be amazing.

The Pens are getting a PP specialist back next game. His name is Evgeni Malkin. Maybe you've heard of him. Thanks for playing.

smh this is nonsense and an unrealistic point of view as if you haven't watched a game since Kessel left.
He couldn't fix the PP in years prior what makes you think it's gonna get fixed now.

Thank you all for your passionate comments.
This is all for fun, we do not know all of the details behind the decisions that GM's and owners finally make.
Do I expect any of these trades to take place, of course not, I seriously doubt that ALL of the Sabre's UFA's will be traded.
I think the Sabres will try to retain Pysyk and Hinostroza as well as Hagg.
