Even with 2teams retention of 50% TB doesn't have the cap space so that's an easy pass. Chicago just signed Murphy to a club friendly contact extension so they pass to

Chicago won't do this IMO as I don't think O'Brien will pan out to anything more then a 4th liner but who knows

I like the kid, but Austin Strand isn't worth a third. Yet.

If Fletcher can resign him at a big discount from his current salary then no need to trade him, but if he walks after this year what a huge price he paid for one season of ok play on a bad team. What do you think the return for Risto at the deadline would be with his salary?

Ya might be a stretch but Philly is weak at RD and RD are tougher to acquire than LD.

Murphy signed that deal before the dumpster fire season Hawks are having, they have numerous young D prospects and they could use another younger forward maybe the deal needs a little more from the Flyers but I think it would be a deal that might be good for both teams. Strome is a bit of a gamble for the Flyers he has only one and a half good seasons on his resume.

Yeah, but behind Doughty we have Roy, Walker, Durzi, Clarke, Spence, Grans and Faber, so we won't hold you up on Strand.

Or they can use Murphy to teach these young dmen like TB did with McDonagh and Cernak
