3 First rounders for Chychrun is too steep, Crouse balances the deal imo. AZ would have take Koskinen and Kassian in order for facilitate a deal with EDM, if those are non starters it makes it tough to finalize.

But why do we need Barrie? He looks like a bad partner for Power or Dahlin and he won't get that much PP time. We need a top 4 DFD, not a player like Barrie. I'd rather just trade Miller with 50% retain for pick.

Barrie is a better player (has played 2nd pair effectively most of his career) and isn't a PP specialist like Miller. We don't have to keep him, we could flip him for a higher pick. He's worth a higher pick than Miller for sure.

Okay... Bourgault was taken 22nd overall in the most recent draft and is leading all 2021 CHL picks in scoring rates this season. He's got far more value than McCann.

Maybe, although after watching Oilers last 3 games, I got the impression that Barrie is similar to Will Butcher, of course he is big than Will, but he looked slow and awkward. I just don't know his value, but I would definitely not want to see him in Buffalo as a player.

Yeah, there's years of film and data available, I'm not going to make a decision off the past 3 games.

Sometimes players fall off a cliff, this often happens.

It happens with every single player. I don't think Barrie is there yet.

Maybe, but I think he's slowed down compared to how he played in Colorado.

Fair point however a couple things McCann is a really good player and could play with 97, additionally he is an RFA at seasons end so he isn't a true rental.
Seattle is going to be a seller at the deadline and McCann will fetch a premium, as he is young (26), plays LW C RW and is having a decent season statistically.
I would love to see EDM keep all their prospects however some are going to need to be used to build a win-now team around 97 & 29.

Not according to Holland!

With Kane on the horizon, a trade like this becomes much less likely I'd think.
