Why is Stamkos sitting?

Put Carter at 4C. Put Stamkos beside McDavid and Tavares. Let Scheifele sit.

Yeah I'd be ok with that. Main reason he is the extra is because he is a little bit of a wildcard given his recent health

In my opinion, with this team the scratch would be simmonds.

Definitely not Simmonds. He's a Marchand type but with less skill.

he's good for sure but realistically the 3rd string goalie isn't seeing any time so it'd be best to get a young guy to get him used to Hockey Canada systems and everything.
