Broberg?

Broberg could stay in the minors and get called up if somebody is injured. it definitely wont hurt him and is very on brand for ken holland.
oilersguy liked this.

I don't know, I'd have to look. Not sure I have time today.

I'm not seeing any evidence that you allow analytics to shape your decisions anyhow.

I'm not so sure that skinner isnt our goalie. Mike smith is around in 22-23 regardless. They could use a guy this year for sure to bridge the gap but i cant see how they make a new goalie, smith and skinner work on the roster.

Took a quick look... he's playing 1st pairing in CLB this year and getting hammered. Werenski is doing his best to carry Bean but it's not enough. Bean's numbers drop off when he's away from Werenski (despite playing lesser competition) and Werenski's numbers jump up when not saddled with Bean (no change in competition). It doesn't look great, although not many 23 year olds can handle top pairing minutes so the book isn't written yet. Without doing a deep dive it looks like Bean would be best getting sheltered like he was in Carolina, and maybe he has 2nd pairing upside at some point in the future?

Carolina is one of the most advanced teams in the analytics field, beware of getting young talent when they deem them expendable.
