Rebuilding/Retooling teams don't typically have any reason whatsoever of trading away young prospects, unless they've caused some sort of ruccus.

The only one that *might* make sense in the offseason is Mitchell, but that's only because the Hawks have done their best to bungle up their retool.

Unless you're willing to throw us a 1st, Ryan Merkley isn't going to be traded. He's our only right handed RD prospect and doesn't look out of place in the NHL.

The Sharks probably wouldn't do a prospect-for-prospect type deal for Merkley. The only way I see them trading Merkley to the Habs is in a package for Dvorak/Gallagher, if the Sharks are really pushing for the playoffs and need to add to their top 6.

I like your idea. You'll probably get Mitchell more willingly and cheaper than the other 2. should cost maybe a 2nd and 4th

Everything they’d want for söderstrom you wouldn’t want to give up, so there’s no chance of that trade occurring

I'd take that with Jones and Murphy locked up for the future

Not even that, I wouldn’t trade him alone for those guys much less in a package for them. Dvorak is underwhelming and Gallagher is aging with 5 more years in his deal after this year. The sharks are in the tough spot they are now due to long contracts with again players, can’t see them making that worse.

Sharks aren’t interested in trading Merkley unless the deal is easily in our favor. He’s our only RD prospect and has been great in the ahl this year. He’s on the team full time next year.

Nothing the Habs can offer which meets what we’d want unless you severely overpay
