Created by: MrCB
Team: 2021-22 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 11, 2022
Published: Jan. 11, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
TOR
  1. Järnkrok, Calle
  2. Lauzon, Jérémy
Additional Details:
CJ is a playoff performer and can play all 3 forward spots. Great versatility for playoffs. Lauzon adds grit and hitting.
SEA
  1. Dermott, Travis
  2. Engvall, Pierre
  3. Ritchie, Nick
  4. 2022 7th round pick (TOR)
  5. 2023 3rd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
3 players who get a chance to play more or be flipped for other assets or add to cap for a year. Not sure if it's enough for 2 rentals in Jarnkrok and Lauzon, but i think it benefits both teams.

That's just it Zuki9797. Not sure what he gets qualified at or if it will be worth it!?!? Plus Liljegren probably steps into that spot next year.

Not sure Seattle trades for roster players without waiver exemptions. They have 13 forwards, 7 defenseman and 3 goalies already for next year. Minors waiver exempt and good draft picks...

Liljegren should already be in that spot.

I don’t mind the deal, but Jarnkrok doesn’t have a spot.
Kampf is our 3C with Mikheyev and Kase.
Our top 6 is set.
Engvall is one of the better 4th liners in the league, same with Spezza.

Our team is full, and neither of those players are major upgrades over what we have.

Agreed with this, unless Dubas goes big with a Hertl/Forsberg type, I am completely fine with rolling the top 9 we have already. Use Ho-Sang, Steeves, Robertson (if he gets healthy) as the playoff additions.

The exchange of Lauzen/Dermott, Jarnkrok/Engvall seems pretty even. What the Leafs like is trading a 3rd and 7th to get rid of Ritchie's contract next season.
