Yup, one of those "I'd like the best player on the planet, but I have wouldn't consider giving up my high ceiling young guys/top prospects for him!" threads.

mika (1st line center), Chytil (young middle 6 center), georgiev (young goalie), Kravtsov (young top 6 potential forward), Lundkvist (young top 4 potential rhd, won shl defenseman of the year last year as a 20 year old), Robertson (young top 6 defenseman prospect), Cuylle (Young top 6 power forward prospect), 3 1st round picks (no explanation), 3 2nd round picks (no explanation)... There is no point in being ignorant and sounding stupid so please keep your stupid comments away.

I feel like using the Gretzky trade as a comp is hilarious, given that it was 100% financially motivated. How about the unproven Lindros instead?

To Philly:
Lindros

To Quebec:
Peter Forsberg (6 OA in that draft)
Chris Simon (25 OA the previous draft)
Steve Duchesne (Coming off 56 pt season)
Mike Ricci (4 OA previous draft)
Kerry Huffman (23 year old dman coming off 14 g/32 pts/60 games)
Ron Hextall (Starting goalie)
1994 1st round pick (PHI - #10 - Nolan Baumgartner)
1993 1st round pick (PHI - #10 - Jocelyn Thibault)
A monetary payment of $15,000,000

Essentially 4 picks in the top 10, plus a bunch of other stuff, but you're going to sit here and say "noooo, not trading Laf".

Trade isnt even close. Would start with Laff, Kappo and Fox and then add from there.

Pretty ironic coming from you
You're being so biased, overvaluing a ton out of Rangers players
Zibanejad - solid 1C but not even close to McDavid's level
Chytil - a player that a lot of Rangers fans want to trade away
Kravstov - A prospect with attitude problems and hasn't proven anything in the NHL
Lundkvist - The guy who just got sent down to the AHL
Robertsen - LD the Oilers don't need
The picks don't even make up close to the value
