Why wouldn't the Leafs and Boston just make the Ritchie trade and give Boston's 3rd to Buffalo to retain in the middle. Leafs would save a 2nd round pick doing this and can move Holl elsewhere. They have much better options using this kind of framework.

And just to get in before Boston fans swarm you. They dont wan't Ritchie.

avs decline, they dont have room for a sub par goalie this year in Koskinen who would just take up cap space and a roster spot being their 3rd goalie

At either TDL or next year BUF should trade PIT for Zucker.

BUF has a lot of young guys. They are gonna need a guy who can help that locker room out. Zucker would be good for that, He's not a bad player just doesn't seem to mesh in PIT. He's also had some injury issues that keep holding him back. But he plays hard and he's responsible on the ice. That in the end is what younger players need to help grow their game.
As a 1 year deal who could cost BUF almost nothing, and probably be able to come back on the cheap after, I think he'd fit in well at BUF.

Why wouldn't the Leafs and Boston just make the Ritchie trade and give Boston's 3rd to Buffalo to retain in the middle... Ritchie is a cap reduction move, the Leafs get Hagg and Hinostroza as part of the deal. Look at this trade, essentially giving Holl and Ritchie https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/543133

At either TDL or next year BUF should trade PIT for Zucker... There may very well be a deal there especially considering the ties Karmanos has with Pittsburgh.

No one's getting a 3rd for Ritchie. Man's passed thru waivers with no claims Yes he is over priced but at half salary there could be teams who want his physical presence on their team, It does not have to be Boston
Only four comments, I expected a lot more hate especially from Sabre fans.
    Thank you all for contributing.
Yes the trades of Ritchie and Koskinen could be to any team.
I do not disagree with any of you comments.
