No from Winnipeg. There's no incentive there for the Jets to downgrade from a top 4 defenseman to a #7.

Hamonic wanted to sign in Winnipeg the past 2 or 3 off seasons and the Jets had no interest. I can't see them giving up a far better defenseman for him now.

Oh oops, I meant to send Schmidt to Carolina

But I don't think Schmidt returning to Vancouver is out of the realm of possibilities because Vancouver now has a new management group so Schmidt wouldn't necessarily feel like he was going backwards
