Description

The Kings prospect depth is insane, but it's not time to rush Turcotte/Bjornfot. Keep them in the AHL and allow the kids to develop at their own pace. Just because Kaliyev was picked in the 2nd round or the same draft as Turcotte really doesn't mean much. Don't force Turcotte's development. Same with Bjornfot.

At the same time...LAK still have prospects that are developing nicely in the NHL like Kaliyev/Kupari/Durzi. Make sure they have good experiences with veterans to help their development as they go to the playoffs for the first time.

Kubalik has a snipe to help with offesnive play and DeHaan can play either LD or RD. So if/when Edler comes back you can swap him to the right if needed.

Kings decline for several reasons, that first rounder could very well be a top-10 pick, they aren't moving it regardless of how well their prospect pool looks.

Kubliak was traded away from the Kings because he didn't want to play for them, no way is Blake paying to get him back after that stunt. As for Da Haan, the Kings LD in Bjornfot and Anderson are already effective stay-at-home type defensemen at a more cap-friendly hit, if the Kings are looking for a top-4 LD it will be someone with a scoring touch.

Oh also, Edler is done for the season.

Couple of things.
1) Kubalik spurned the Kings once before. Why would they try to go after him now?
2) I can't see the Kings spending a 1st round pick on anyone other than Chychrun currently, especially since LA is far from a guarantee for the playoffs. A UFA defenseman and an RFA player who wouldn't sign with them already doesn't give me much confidence in a lasting return.
3) Bjornfot is a full-time NHL'er now. He wasn't rushed, and he's been great.
4) Turcotte has been anything but rushed as well. Year in college, year in the AHL, and half the season in the AHL this year. My guess is he goes down at least one more time before the end of the season after getting a little bit longer of a look at the NHL. The Kings need to bring Byfield and Vilardi up for sure at some point this season, and might give a look to ****emo or Madden if they keep up a good pace.
