...but why would Jamie Benn ever agree to this? If he *ever* waives his NMC (and there's no reason to think he will), it won't be to go to the worst team in the NHL.

Benn hasn't been injury prone. You can say he isn't living up to his contract, but he's missed a total of 8 games combined in the last 4 years. He's been arguably the most consistently healthy player on the Stars roster over that timespan
