I don’t really see a good team to trade McDavid to where we would get quality prospects, and young NHL players. I was think maybe LA, but they are in the same division so that would be a no go. Ottawa would probably be the best one, as we would want Stutzle, Sanderson etc, but they are not good, and who knows how many years they are planning to rebuild for. The other good teams don’t have enough of value, unless Anaheim is willing to part ways with Zegras and more, but I doubt that. If we traded him to Detroit, we would get way more though! But again, they don’t have enough in my opinion. It’s definitely an interesting thing to think about, and I truly believe we would be a better team without McDavid, based on the type on return we would get for him, however, we would not trade him unless he isn’t going to resign on his last year of his contract.

I don’t think people comprehend that he is the best hockey player on the planet……

Like it’s just not a realistic return at all. One of the worst proposals I’ve see here in a while

Honestly it’s the Sabres.
3 U21 AHL players over PPG. 2 first overall picks, Cozens, and Levi who’s putting up historic goalie numbers in the NCAA. But Sabres aren’t in position to make a big move.

Right, if they were a good team they definitely would be a good team to trade with. I forgot about them haha. But yah, like you said they should not make that move. You would lose so many good prospects, so you would still be rebuilding. But for longer!

Canucks offer:

Pettersson
Miller
Boeser
Rathbone
1st 2022
1st 2023
2nd 2023

If EDM wants to go nuclear on the rebuild, then the first three players in the trade can also be moved for picks. Pettersson get's at least 2 1sts, Miller and Boeser do as well. If you move Draisaitl too then you got 3 more there for a total of 13+ 1st round picks (or equivalent prospects). That's draft capital of historic proportions to kick off a rebuild, including your own high pick(s).

Cmon guys, it's Holland's team. Trade him to Dallas for Seguin, Benn, Suter, and a 1st.
