Sabres aren't moving Olofsson. Probably would want a RHD if they did though.

By playoffs in the title I assumed you meant making moves to get far in the playoffs. Obviously my mistake. Trading anything of value to get Ristolainen and then playing him in your top4 definitely does not do that.

Depending on the value you put on Ritchie and Mrázek, are they cap dumps or do you think they have value?
While I really like Olofsson, I would make this trade.
Buffalo has other options for top 6 LW, or could wait for Robertson to develop.
If you took out Mrázek for Holl how would you modify the balance of the trade?

I see you posted your own version of this trade.
Sabre and Leaf fans dislike it.
If I were the Sabre GM and Dubas offered this for Olofsson, I do not know how I could refuse.

Basically my thought is trading Ritchie and Mrazek might cost value so you’re basically paying part of the 2nd rounder value to lose the contracts, first and Robertson for Olofsson. Holl has lower cap hit and less term so if you swap him in for mrazek you may not need to pay as much.

Depending on which Leaf fan is responding, Holl is rated any where from a dump to 2nd.
He is not a dump, a second seems to be too much, so I would do what you proposed..
