Cheap young RD's are hard to come by and no one really sells those but for young forwards, a team like LA may have expendable ones, Anaheim if they go for it may have some interesting players, CBJ looks like they may have a logjam of forwards, Kravtsov wink

He has another year on his contract, but hasn't really done anything. He'll play for at least the next year, but he hasn't really shown much potential

Willing to add Jacob Larsson to the deal as well, I'm sure he could play the right side just as (poorly) well as he plays the left! For fun, I'd be happy to add the 2027 7th round pick.

Just brainstorming for if he wants more than we can afford. Trust me I'd rather keep him, but i also don't want to pay him 3.5

I know this isn't directly related to the topic at hand, but with regards to cap space, what do you think Cirelli and Sergachev's value are about rn?

His first name should be Cement. Cement Foote. He's given multiple chances because his Dad is Adam Foote.

You never know. By 2028 there could be 50 rounds and that could be worth the same as a 1st now

My nephew should be draft eligible by then…undersized and slow, but great locker room guy. Cries every time his team loses, so it’s pretty clear that he’ll do everything in his power to become a winner. Absolutely a steal in 2028.

Lol, if Joseph thinks he's getting 3.5 here, see ya. The guy can't finish a grade A chance if his life depended on it. I hope they move him at the tdl plus a pick for someone like Crouse, but probably not that lucky. He's a decent 3rd liner, but he doesn't have the tools to be a reg in the top 6.

They should both get in the 6 range realistically. I could see Cirelli going to the 6.5 level, but if Serg demands much more than 6 then Brisebois should move him this offseason for 2-3 quality pieces.

At this moment I wouldn't want to give either more than 6-6.5

The solid line is at 7

7 is too much for either imo unless either really takes off rest of this year/next year. With the cap only minimally increasing both this year and next, paying either more than 6-6.5 will mean significant losses elsewhere.

Yeah, Nolan. I remember Devils fans being excited when they got him in the Coleman trade. Thing I remember the most about Adam Foote was how tough he was to play against. He overcame his physical limitations with competitiveness. I guess it didn't carry over to his sons.
