Lindell is an extremely underrated player, and has really upped his defensive game the last couple years. This return isn't enough to pry him out of Dallas. I don't even think that offer gets Ryan Suter.

Panthers accept. As a Finn, I know what Lindell is capable of. I don't know if the Stars are up for this, tho

I think Lindell is somewhat overpaid

That's cause his offensive production has dropped with the addition of Heiskanen. I'd take him over almost every other D man at the 5 - 6 mil contract range right now (that hasn't been extended for a big raise after this year).

Here's the list:

Dahlin - maybe not cause of age and skill
Brodin - yes
Myers - most definitely, not even close
Dumba - even
E Johnson - yes
Boychuck - yes
Schmidt - yes
Pionk - yes (he's better defensively and most of Pionk's pts are on the PP)
Pelech - about even
Muzzin - yes - age and mobility
Keith - most definitely, not even close
Stralman - most definitely, not even close
Parayko - about even
Leddy - most definitely, not even close
Ristolainen - most definitely, not even close
Slavin - No
Martinez - Yes
Skjei - Yes
Lindholm - No
Theodore - No
Orlov - yes, but it's close
Goligoski - yes
Pulock - yes, but it's close
Brodie - probably not, I love this guy
Dekeyser - most definitely, not even close

Super nit-picky, homer Wild take. But having Lindell even with Dumba but ahead of Brodin is an absolutely atrocious take.

Edit: As in Brodin is miles ahead of Dumba.

You could be right. I've been a huge Dumba fan since his Jr days, and I know Brodin is extremely underrated. I'll agree, (I did this pretty quickly). He's ahead of Dumba, and either even or slightly behind Brodin

I may have been a bit harsh, but I have a ton of respect for a lot of what you say on here. One of the few rational guys that clearly know a lot of what they're talking about. I just couldn't let the Brodin "slander" go unnoticed!

I know Benj thinks the whole Wild roster is untouchable, going to retire with the franchise and have their number in the rafter, but IF there was an untouchable list it would go:
1) Kaprizov
2) Brodin
3-5) Boldy, Wallstedt, Rossi in whatever order

The only way any of those guys move is if it's a knock your socks off kind of offer.

I think Lindell's contract would be difficult to swallow, but he would be a good top 4 addition
Probably wouldn't work

Thanks man, I appreciate that. And I have no problem having my opinions and posts argued. It actually makes this site more fun, and no ones always right (no matter what my ex wife says LOL)
Agreed, Boldy, Wallstedt, Rossi and even Addison are untouchable for me. Def Kaprisov. Brodin is the most complete D man on the team, so I'd hold him too. The only other guy I would add at this time is Hartman, and that's only for contract vs production. But if MIN doesn't think he can continue on that trajectory, now is the perfect time to sell HIGH!
