even with Simek and Vlasic gone sharks still have Ferraro Middleton and Knyzhov as NHL regulars with Kinazev and Hatakka young promising LD in the minors.
rather not give up that much for a guy who is not that much better than the cheaper in house options when we have so many other needs.. like offense.

This

But I'll also add that San Jose simply doesn't have the assets for Chychrun. They won't trade Eklund and the rest of the prospects just won't be that valuable and I don't even know what young player from the roster they might add, I don't think Labanc and Simek are of any value to Arizona.

Seriously don't know how these two aren't constantly mixed up

Yes it would make sense for them to go after him. He has term at a great price and would fit into the quick reset they want to do. Problem is they will easily be outbid and I wouldn’t want to give up most of our prospects.

Thankfully they are very distinguishable on the ice, or else that would be a nightmare.

I think I have only seen Knyazev...but am not so sure anymore. Maybe it was Kinahzov or Kynezev or Knihzov

I'd do it for sure. Ferraro's the only established guy (2 years), Knyzhov (who knows how he'll be when he gets back) and Middleton (only 1 year of playing with EK65) and simply unknowns. They can also be moved if there's Chychrun who's on a great deal too.

It makes sense for literally every team in the league to go after him, but San Jose simply doesn’t have the assets needed to make this kind of deal. The package posted isn’t getting the job done, or really all that close

Probably Knyzhov as he played all last year (was sharks rookie of the year). Knyazev only has a couple NHL games.

You're right. We don't have the 47 1st round picks it would take to acquire a bona-fide and proven MEGA-star like Chychrun. Get a grip on his value dude.

I think San Jose could make it work without losing Eklund or Bordeleau in the process. ATM, Arizona is interested in draft picks plus players that would help them reach cap floor. Perhaps you can throw in a prospect like Kniazev or Melnichuk to make it more enticing for the Yotes, but the opportunity to get a player of Chychrun's caliber with a cap-conservative deal is tempting.

They want a 1st, high end prospect, and an nhl player. So say lebanc, bordeleau/eklund, and a 1st

Speak for yourself. If you listen to the radio broadcast, that might be a fun game. Heck, its annoying trying to figure which player is which on the radio broadcast, when you play a team that has someone with the same name as one of your players. (Canes vs. Isles: Sebastian Aho). Or all the Andersen/Anderson players. Or the Staal brothers, especially when they played together. Very fun indeed.

I just can’t wait until the Devils draft Jack Hughes in 2022
