Unless the Canucks are offering pieces like Hoglander or Garland, on top of Rathbone, Canes have nothing to discuss with the Canucks. Top pairing RHD are a very hot commodity in the league right now, so if the Canes decide to trade Bear, whom they fleeced from the Oilers, he will haul a lot.

I don’t get why my fellow Canes’ fans call Bear a top pair RD, he’s not. He’s not a top 4 RD currently. DeAngelo and Pesce deserve the minutes they’re getting over Bear.

That’ said, the only way I think the Canes move him is in a package for either Klingberg or Chychrun. Most likely, they try to lock him up for cheap and hope he is able to eventually be a consistent top 4 guy.

Warren Foegele has been great he has dramatically changed the Oilers top 9, and the last game Bear played has a Oilers he practically passed the puck to Scheifele between the hash marks and put the final nail in the coffin that was the chance that the Oilers where even gonna win a game in that series
