I know it's only wishful thoughts- but, it's unrealistic Campbell signs here.

That trade between Ottawa and Edmonton depends entirely on what happens at the draft lottery.

Come back to us then.

Neither. Campbell is carrying the goalie situation of the Leafs rn, and considering the success he's had there, don't think he would leave.

Tentatively, I’d say no to the Sens trade.

You’re asking for our best goaltending prospect (who was a high 2nd two years ago) and a pick that is likely guaranteed top 5.

Skinner wouldn’t really move the needle for Ottawa. He wouldn’t slot in ahead of Gustavsson so if anything that’s just a warm body. Yamamoto is a good piece too but doesn’t make up the difference between the Oilers pick and potentially 1st overall but if we’re being extra generous we can call Skinner and Yamamoto for Sogaard a wash.

That leaves Bourgault and two future (late) 2nds to make up the difference from 1st-5th to 17-25.

Maybe? Bourgault looks amazing and it would be hard to pass up but I don’t think Ottawa takes the gamble.

Yamamoto is not a "good piece", he's a 3rd liner at best and not a particularly good one. He had one stretch of production in 2019-20 with the 2 best forwards in the world but outside of that, he hasn't produced anything that indicates good potential. I have been saying we already have an older version in the lineup

I'm not doing Sogaard for Skinner + Yamamoto at all, even if you add a 2nd or two. Sogaard is going to be a beast. Skinner and Yamamoto have very low value to us.

Campbell isn't signing in Edmonton for that little. He would ask for $7M-$8M if he were to leave Toronto, which I doubt he does

I hear you on Sogaard and I wouldnt want him moved at all, certainly not as some sort of extra piece in a deal where Ottawa is moving their 1st. If anything he's moved to acquire a better goaltender who's further along of a bonafide top 6 RW. Watched Ottawa light Skinner up last night so recency bias says no value to Ottawa but I do think Yamamoto is and NHL middle6/bottom6 RW which has some sort fo value.

I was trying to be nice with the way I worded it haha
