Actually, even though Barrie si bad defensively he would take pressure off of Petry and solidify the right side. We would probably have to play him with Edmundson and Romanov with Petry though to balance out his defensive short comings.

I'm not sold, but it's something worth considering.
We have plenty of wingers. We can use another puck mover/PP/RHD.
Ducharme wouldn't know what to do with Barrie, but he doesn't know what to do with anyone else either.
I don't think it makes us worse, and I don't think it makes us better, but it does give us more options. I'd probably do it for that reason alone.
