I happen to think it's fair, retained salary and everything. Robertson is a good prospect but forgettable compared to who is ahead of him...

Well...

Miller hasnt been all that spectacular, Nemeth is a 7th defenseman and may end up getting traded in the offseason to reclaim some cap space... that only leaves Jones ahead of Robertson. All it takes is one trade of Miller or Jones and youve now got a spot open on the left side.

Personally, I think De Haan is a better move for the Rangers.

That rental is on pace for over a PPG this season, in an abysmal offensive system. If the Rangers are serious about making a run this year, they should absolutely consider giving up a (what should be) late 1st & a prospect for him.
