Such a hard easy no not even taking into account the salary cap.

I don’t get the hype around driedger…he has had 30 good games in the nhl and then has been pretty bad this year to be quite blunt. He’s almost 28 years old. Not sure if he is the answer for Edmonton.

We need more than a goalie. We need a starter, not a backup. We need a defensive top 4 defence man, depth etc. I think the first thing we should do, is get a goalie either by trade or in free agency. I think the best option for us would be Ullmark, but we would have to see if Boston is willing to trade him with Swayman playing so well, and after signing Rask. Varlamov, Vanecek, or Quick wouldn’t be bad either. Kuemper via free agency would be good, but he gets injured a lot. If he stays healthy, I would love to see Kuemper on the oilers. That’s who I think Holland may go for if Colorado doesn’t sign him. He wanted to trade for him apparently, a while back. I believe they were offering Arizona a first, but then Colorado offered more.

Trading RNH creates a huge hole in the Oilers top 6, not something they should do.

trying g to get the last Playoff spot... go get Allen, Chariot and a Great defensive player in Lehkonen.
Gives Koskinen (for salary ) & Barrie as MTL need a RD... balance out with a 2nd round pick should be enough or add a OK-Propsect

Agree or not, the approximate value of those 3 additions is a 1st and two 2nds (on the low end). A 2nd round pick doesn't balance it out. Even if you count Barrie as being worth a 2nd, that trade still falls pretty short.

Chiarot returning a 1st assumes retention. Montreal would prefer to retain and get a 1st, than move him without it.
Holland is also on record as not being in the rental market. So Chiarot to Edmonton trades are off the board.

The way Byram is headed he's gonna be worth Juolevi in a few years. Unless he proves me wrong, which would be amazing to see

I understand. to going on rentals... but missing the playoff will be catastrophic.. Holland would get 3 month to convince Chiarot to stay @ Barrie salary.
They need Good G and Allen is better than Smith & Koskinen in my opinion... adding Lehky would help there defensive play

The likelihood of Byram being a Torey Krug or a Erik Cernak is constantly decreasing. I still hope, but I had hope for Juolevi too

I don't disagree. There's just no incentive for Montreal to consider moving those 3 pieces together for mediocre or worse return. If Edmonton isn't prepared to give up a 1st or Bourgault, Montreal can simply keep Lehkonen and Allen or trade them separately elsewhere, while likely getting at least a 1st for Chiarot from another team.

If you don’t have a clue or don’t have an idea then guy shouldn’t he trying to project a Canucks failed high pick into byram bc you want to interject something about the Canucks into the convo

if you spent any time watching Byram when he was in the line up this year, you would know that is ceiling is at the highest caliber NHL Dman.

With a blue line of Girard, Makar, and Toews, to start, RNH is much more useful to you than Byram

From what I've seen in the few games I've seen, Byram doesn't look like an NHL defenseman yet. He has an injury history. I'm not sold. If I were Edmonton I wouldn't be trading RNH for this kind of a gamble?

its not my trade, and that is not the conversation

You tried to make these unjustifiable claims about a player you have no idea how good they are today, have no idea how high their ceiling is, and you tried to label him to a failed canucks prospect.
When you arent sure, dont just make outlandish takes bc you want to talk about the canucks, that is the only reason you made that comment of Juolevi, you wanted to bring up your team

Dude, that was a comparison. Nuutivara if you prefer. You really value Byram. While he COULD become a legit top NHL defender, the odds aren't great. Byram isn't worth RNH and Ceci retained and a 2nd. He plays a physical game, but gets injured a lot. Gustav Forsling?

you once again show you have 0 idea what you are talking about or have a clue when it comes to Byram

There is no use talking to you when you dont even have the slightest clue about the player
