I don’t understand either of those trades and how they make CBJ better long term.

Interesting Larkin proposal, I would want to accept it. Just tough trading away a home town captain.
I wonder if Roslovic being from Columbus could be swapped for Texier?

The only trade that sends Larkin to Columbus involves Werenski.

Value is irrelevant, Detroit is not trading Larkin. Period.

I was thinking that originally then I looked into those Russians, they actually seem like they could both be pretty good players. Johnson should be a stud. I actually really like the value of that trade to be honest. I know Larkin would never get traded but if there was a deal to be had this could be it.

Also Yzerman could sit Larkin down and be like "bro, I need you to go to Columbus for a year and then I'll resign you as a UFA and we will have an even better team to compete with for years to come"

Yes yes Larkin wouldn't ever get traded, but this is actually a good trade.

Take a look at Larkin's numbers this season. Detroit adds Suter someone other than Larkin that can play center and it allows Larkin to stay with the same linemates. Larkin gets some help and he is close to putting up 1st line center numbers, so what happens when Larkin gets more help? Realistically Suter is a 3C and Zadina is playing well but can't score but when Varna comes back and Berggern has been playing well putting players that belong in the top 6 in our top 6 is only going to help. It also doesn't help that the average age of the left side of the defense is over 31.

True on both fronts. Can’t see us moving Brisson with our cap situation

You didn't comment on my latest assessment of Larkin so do you disagree?

Don't disagree at all. I'm really hoping they draft someone that can be a 1-2C this draft so more pressure can be off Larkin and i think he will excel even more

Thanks for the response. After Wright is there another 1C in the the draft? We could pick up a 2C in free agency if not this year maybe next year
