I don’t know how they’d get worse with the defence add ons. The top 6 gets an actual top 6 winger that isn’t Kassian. Eakin would be better to have rather than Turris. Varlomov could take some games for them unless if the Oilers go full Oilers and just blow it all lol

well they didnt add anyone good at defence. Eakin is legit one of the worst defensive players in the NHL, like bottom 2, Drouin isnt good in his own end either and he's not gonna boost scoring enough to make up for it. And chariot literally bleeds shots and chances against.
The goaltending is probably a bit better, but Varlamov would have to be super human to get this team anywhere with that defence in front of him

Maybe Chariot could improve on a better team. But then again the Oilers are at the moment the worst team right now lol. Stralman I think is still a useful defencemen that could be solid in a top 6 role. I’d disagree with Drouin on the scoring part. I don’t think he’s been playing the right role at all with Montreal pretty much all these years
