These refs in this Stars games are making very odd whistles.

At least the power play works for Dallas.

Glad to see Seguin to get these goals in. He needs those to get his confidence back.

Power play was allowed 2 score 2X by Tuch and Thompson because they tried to get a jump up the ice.

Four PP goals tonight tears of joy

BUF penalty kill is a joke.

Buffalo? And is 21 and under deeper than the sabres 21 and under?

BUF has a deep prospect pool, but they've been notoriously known as the worst team in developing those for the last 10 years, which sort of explains their playoff drought.

Their future looks "bright", but honestly in Buffalo's recent standards anything brighter than what you see when you close your eyes can be considered as bright.

Additional note to this: don't stare directly at a lamp and then close your eyes. What you might see looks bright but it also hurts your eyes. I tried that lol.

The refs suck. Dowd was called for a tripping but forbort held his stick that caused him to fall. Then that lead to a powerplay goal. 😔

Exactly the same happened in a Stars vs. Blues game couple of weeks ago.

Problem was that it was there was 30 seconds left in the game and the game was 1-1 before that.

I like Buffalo's spirit. Despite all the odds against them they really look like they want to win.

That's not something I thought I'm going to say this year.

The game was 3-3. And then they scored with 45 seconds left on the powerplay. He held his stick. Man I’m feeling a lot of emotions right now

Overall, DAL was not good. BUF gifted that dub for us.

No need to cancel my subscription then. At least the PP works and it's fun to watch.

Seriously, without the Robertson-Hintz-Pavelski line, the Stars would be dead in the water. Those three show up to play night in night out, seems like they account for 95% of Stars goals

I went to check the play.

I can imagine why Dowd is frustrated as Forbort has a grip on that stick, but at the end of the day I can see why the refs called that as the stick was in between Forbort's legs before he took the grip I think.

I think Forbort sold that play pretty well for the refs and they bought it.

Bobcat’s Post Game Notes, Game 37

Jackets win, 2-1 over the Philadelphia Flyers.

-Happy birthday, Sean Kuraly! It’s a good way to spend a birthday, getting into the win column after a terrible 9-2 loss that i will never bring up again.

-Can we consider this to be Jake Christiansen’s debut? His last game vs. New Jersey was just very disappointing, this was a lot better.

-Jake makes his comeback to Philly for the first time after the trade. I still miss Cam Atkinson so goddamn much.

-Zach scored early in the second, but it was called back because Tex skated into the crease and bumped into Carter Hart as the shot was coming. Tough luck.

-I felt like this game was gonna be another uneventful blur until Oliver scored. That play was the epitome of “right place, right time”.

-Those last few minutes were a lot more stressful than they really should have been. We couldn’t get out of our own zone at all. Thankfully, Elvis held firm (sad to see he didn’t get another shutout), and we won.

Tell me about it.

This team is even more a one-line team than it was couple of years with Benn-Seguin-Radulov.

They're living the Leafs life, but instead of blowing off the lead completely they edge under it.

They be going the extreme route lul as man if any team blew multiple 5-1 leads I would question their sanity

As its funny how they have almost done it 3 times... And no Desmith to blame all 3 times lul

Hockey is a 60-minute game.

Leafs and Pens play a 40-minute variation.

The sabres actually are a good team recently, they have Skinner who is back in 40 goal form just without an elite center like Eichel he is on pace for 30... Tuch is on a point for game pace.

The sabres current core, thompson, Cozens, mitts, skinner, tuch, dahlin, jokiharju, asplund, bryson, + the prospects UPL, Quinn, Power, Sammuellson, Peterka, Krebs and any others that could break the lineup next year and we are a good step towards being able to contend.

Those age numbers while bigger than Devils' ones aren't that high that they'd be in risk of major declining. Also both Stammer and Hedman are due for new contracts by that point, and knowing how well Brisebois has handled those TB is most likely able to sign those guys with team friendly deals to make cap room for new younger assets such as Cirelli, Sergachev and Cernak.

In five years time I'd wager the likes of Lafreniere, Kakko, Miller, Lundkvist, Schneider and the like have taken the necessary steps forward and be of the same importance as most of the names you've put there for the Rangers.

These are exactly the reasons why I put these teams here over the current rebuilders. Five years isn't a long enough time to have the current cores of the top teams involved go past by their expiry date, but rather the futures will complement what they already have. This is not the case with the likes of Devils, Senators, Sabres etc.

LA in theory belongs to the category as the rebuilders do, but honestly they have many interesting pieces in their current core too as well as the deepest prospect pool in the entire league.

Lafreniere and Lunkvist are the only young players with elite potential at this point and I'd bet a lot of money Lundkvist will be traded soon. Miller is awful, Schneider probably tops out as a #3 D, and Kakko looks like he'll be a low end 2nd liner at best.

The rangers shortened their window last offseason by extending Zibanejad and trading Buchnevich. If they would have traded for Eichel and signed Buchnevich long term I'd agree that their future is bright. The best chance for the rangers to win the cup is in the next 2 years and right now they are a bad team being carried by Shesterkin, who should win the Hart Trophy.

Oilers showing interest in Joonas Korpisalo
With Mike Smith injured once again, Mikko Koskinen struggling, and the Oilers in a tailspin at the moment, they’re on the lookout to try to shore up their goaltending. To that end, Pierre LeBrun of TSN and The Athletic reported in the latest TSN Insider Trading segment that Edmonton has kicked the tires on Blue Jackets goaltender Joonas Korpisalo. -ProHockeyRumors.com

Wasnt this reported since September lul

Then they moved on to Khudobin, then MAF, then back to Khudobin

Dont think Korp is an upgrade but Holland I guess has his ideas

Remember could have got MAF for free over paying full price for Keith...

Just saying
