Recorder four points in a game for the second time in three outings. Is up to an 82 game point pace of 106 pts.

Realistically, what’s he looking at next year, over 9mil?

I think 9.25 x 8 from the flames, if he makes it to UFA he'll get 10 mill IMO

Imagine the Flyers paying him $10M next season to score 65 points. Imagine him at age 35 making $10M. Flames will be better off without him. Guys way over perform as pending UFA's all the time and then regress.

I think he gets 8x8.5 from Calgary. He’d have to get 7x9.7 on the open market to match total dollars, which is probably the most important thing for this deal (he won’t be making much at 36 and this might just be his last contract).

14 of the 30 have come on the PP. And his 22.1% shooting percentage (SH%) is significantly higher than his 14.7% career average. Will be interesting to see if he keeps this pace up.

The Rangers are playing above their capabilities, their overall numbers are not very good. If there is a team I could see having a rough second half of the season, it’s NYR.

Not trying to take anything away from his season but a regression is certainly possible.

Don’t get me wrong I’m a fan of analytics, but Chris Kreider just had one of the best starts to an NHL season goal scoring wise in history and nothing can take that away from him. Damn near 60 goal pace

Lmao, that’s hilarious

For us, we just want to get this season over I think, we’re out here running Primeau and McNiven ( our 4-5 goalies ) as a tandem, our players keep getting injured and we can’t seem to do anything, we’re even getting killed with shots now

Brendan Lemieux got ejected vs the Rangers, cross-check to the back into the boards by him, he’s definitely earning himself the reputation of that 4th line guy that gets dirty and suspension, he’ll probably run himself out of the league

That wasn't even a bad hit. He was going for a huge hit and Lindgren turned into the boards. That's 100% on Lindgren

Nah, that was a bad hit, straight into Lindgren’s numbers and into the boards, that’s Lemieux fault

I'm so bothered when announcers say "I can't believe this is the same team that went to the Finals". Andrew Raycroft said it, the Wild announcers said it yesterday. It's a pure fallacy. On average there are like 7 or 8 players from last year's playoffs team in each game. There was even a game against the Panthers in which only Brett Kulak, Nick Suzuki & Cole Caufield were playing.

Here's last year's Finals roster

Josh Anderson (missed 11 games)
Joel Armia (missed 9 games)
Paul Byron (missed all 41 games)
Cole Caufield (missed 12 games)
Ben Chiarot (missed 3 games)
Phillip Danault
Joel Edmundson (missed all 41 games)
Jake Evans (missed 7 games)
Brendan Gallagher (missed 16 games)
Erik Gustafsson
Jesperi Kotkaniemi
Brett Kulak (missed 6 games)
Artturi Lehkonen (missed 3 games)
Jon Merrill
Corey Perry
Jeff Petry (missed 7 games)
Carey Price (missed all 41 games)
Eric Staal
Nick Suzuki (played 100% of the games)
Tomas Tatar
Tyler Toffoli (missed 11 games)
Shea Weber (missed all 41 games)

It's not the same team, like at all.

"but its the same team, see the name is the same" - Announcers, probably

and I thought the caps injury/covid situation was bad...

He’s a top 5 lw right now, obviously he’ll regress eventually but stars like him are worth the risk. A guy like Filip Forsberg I would never sign, he’s shooting 23.5% and his career average is 12.7%. Talk about a prime regression candidate..

Blackwood has been dealing with injures all season
Better off placing him on IR and letting him heal

They don't need to make moves right now, the 8 teams in the East to make the playoffs are all but decided so Caps are pretty much guaranteed to make the playoffs. If they want to make a cup run though, they might want to add though
