Pasta is definitely not available and teams will most likely want your best young players for their top wingers

Can't see blackhawks ownership letting an interim GM trade the face of the franchise for over a decade.

Pasternak? C'mon, bro. You can also forget Tarasenko until at least summer.

even if they pony up the assets to land any of these players mentioned, their CAP structure going forward will require some REAL unpopular moves.

More likely, the kind players they are looking at come TDL are more like: Pavelski, Riley Smith, Kessel, Dzingel, Tierney...not to mention a depth Dman. I don't like all these players named here- either for the player himself, or the assets they'd have to part with- I just think that if they make a move up to TDL, these are more realistically the players they would target.

    LMAO.

Those are 5 players that the Rangers have no business targeting.

Word. Is Adam fox available? I’m hoping he is. Worth asking.

No it isn’t. Of course he isn’t available. Why on earth would he be?

But many of those guys either don't play right side, have NTC, or just aren't upgrades for us. Why not ask about these top names? Never hurts to ask.

Fox doesn't have one more full year to UFA and Rangers aren't on playoff bubble.

I haven't seen anything recent. Is he "off the block" or no longer requesting a trade?

Take a look at the standings. The bruins aren’t either.

Not that this is the end all be all, but the fancy math guys give the bruins better odds of making the playoffs than the rangers:

He's the star player/leading scorer of a team trying to win now. And he stated a couple months back that the request isn't worth talking about, at least for now.

Every single player in the NHL is available if the price is right. You may have to significantly overpay for certain players but there all available.

As for Boeser, the Canucks would want a package that includes either a young NHL player or an NHL ready prospect that is projected to be a quality top 4 RD or top 2 center. I think a possible package around Lundkvist could work, however I feel like they may have better prospect options on the table if Boeser were made available.

Pittsburgh isn't trading Rust, especially in their own division, while they are still a contender.

for sure there are lots of players they can-and should- inquire about...but any player that comes with term is going to put a hurtin on their CAP situation beyond this year...this coming off season is when the effect of the buyouts real shows itself...even the 800K for ADA is going to create problems for Drury.

IDK, I sense Chicago is heading towards rebuild. I think moving on from Kane and Toews now to maximize their return would be the best move for the club. Retain half on both of their deals and send them to cup contenders. Woo them back in free agency so you only lose them for a year, save 10 mil, and return a bunch of assets.

While what you said is true, as a blues fan i dont expect you to understand that Kane and toews have earned the right to decide their fates. They've made so much money for a team that was dead before they showed up. They will have statues soon after they retire. You don't trade those type of players unless they ask you to.
