No need for heroics

Description
I hope lou doesnt try too hard to be a hero and i hope he sells at the deadline. I didnt get into all the depth players that could be moved (cal, parise, greene, chara) and potentially mayfield could be moved as well. I hope that this sentiment carries through to the offseason as well. Theres no need for the massive trade or the free agent splash. Pick up a couple of useful guys for open roles. Theres a lot of talent in the organization, i just dont think its being used correctly. For a team thats firmly in last place in goals scored, playing your 3rd leading goal scorer 13:14 a night is negligent. For reference lee and nelson (the top 2) are each averaging over 17 minutes a night.

Bailey could be sent down or moved if someone wants him or whatever needs to be done.

The 4th line could have parise or czarnik (resign them) if you want.
If raty isnt nhl ready that spot could be holmstrom or potentially bailey or use the ~3.5m to sign someone in fa.

I think they need to add 1 middle 6 F with above average skating ability. Someone like Yamamoto or Labanc

Idk i dont like labancs contract and think hed be terrible here. Idk why just a gut feeling. As for yamamoto i wouldnt be opposed to bringing him in but i feel like edmonton would want too much for him considering his recent struggles.

Labanc solves our biggest issues on offense - he’s a possession winger who can generate offense with speed. He’s also not a liability defensively.

I would try to use varlamov + bellows to get Yamamoto + pick
