Buffalo shouldn't get a 2nd for retaining 2.5 mil for half a season. For example, SJS got a 4th for retaining 2.75 mil on Foligno at the deadline last year.

He offered a 3rd +
Instead of the “+” he offered, we’d want something else if interest since a 6th & that prospect is of little/no value

It's the market. Who else is selling? We have an owner that's sick of losing money. Even if it's just the final third of the season, I don't see them taking any salary unless something good is coming.
