because he has been one of the worst defenseman in the league this season , he's a huge liability at both ends of the ice.

Rather just keep labanc, don’t want an older more expensive player.

Do you honestly think Trotz is going to let Raty play in the NHL next season? Where does he realistically fit? That is the problem with our roster. We have too many vets and no spots for young guys to compete for.

no… no he isn’t but i would hope for a rebound from Labanc next season with a better offseason and him buying in to the system. but I would really consider this.

What’s the point in buying into bobs system when he won’t be the coach after next year? Bob hasn’t given him a fair shake either as he has proven to do with young players not named Lane Pederson.

Bob has created a solid system and we are overplaying most everyone’s expectations of what was expected out of the sharks, yes i would prefer a better more rounded coach… but who out there will get more out of this team?
as we stand right now we are 2-3 top 6 forwards light (Barabanov and Dahlin are playing well but i would prefer them on the 3rd line) and 1 top 4 D man light of a legit playoff team, but still in the hunt.

The team has over performed this season but it started that way last season. The issue I see is Bob is a very old school coaching system and all of the sharks prospects are more skilled players than grit style players. Timo is even more of a power player and Bob has benched him for some dumb reason or another this season even when the game was on the line.

the way bob has coached Meier and how he’s gotten Meier to buy into the system is a huge reason he is performing so well this year. couture Hertl Meier Burns and Karlson are all having huge rebound seasons and are either playing at the same lever as their peak seasons or playing at the highest level of their careeres, Barabanov was cast out of Toronto for nothing and Bob has him playing at a 35-45 point pace, Balcers and Dahlin are playing at a high level. Bob has the players he has and is itemizing them as best he can.
i don’t love Bob but the players do! and they are playing better than they should nightbin and night out
