Friedman says Motte has picked up interest from the entire league. Would be a good depth piece for a cup contender looking to get a cheap pickup for a run into the playoffs.

I'd imagine the ask for JT from NYR would start with Schneider. All Ranger's fans on this site claim he is "untouchable" which is funny because JT Miller is an elite 2-way forward who isn't a rental. If I'm Vancouver I'm asking for Schneider, a 1st or 2nd, and a decent forward prospect. You may have to take a contract/cap hit back too

Around the ballpark yeah, but Schneider and 1st would be the bare minimum

I agree that Schneider should be part of the return, but if we're going after him specifically then it'll probably be difficult to get other good pieces too. But Schneider would be worth it as he fits our needs perfectly. I think something like Miller (with retention) for Schneider + pick/Kravtsov would be good.

If the contract coming back is Chytil that would be fair. No interest in Nemeth though

Poor Vancouver fans (and Habs fans). Schneider isn't coming your way, but guess you can wish all you want.

Keep Miller... Schneider not going anywhere.

The thing is, if the Rangers wait and package a better trade offer, they can get even better and perhaps younger than Miller. Though a Schneider would be a great fit for Vancouver, the Rangers can get better with other assets, such as Lundkvist, Kravtsov, Jones and other prospects.

Seravelli piping about JT Miller is honest speculation; but the Rangers are not running after every player. By the way, in a Miller trade, I would never overlook Gauthier being moved.

      Thanks for being polite.

Schneider would be our best case return. However, a package centred around Lundkvist could work but more would need to be added.

Then it would probably look like Chytil, Schneider, 2022 2nd for JT 50% retained
