Not a chance the Rangers trade Schneider and Barron.

Also, VAN has to retain minimum 1.75m.

That’s okay though. Vancouver should be looking to keep him and improve not trade him away.

I do agree here. I think selling him low would be a stupid choice for us to make. Schneider and a first would make for a tempting return that would perhaps reconsider that plan, but if he - or any equivalent specs - aren't available, then neither is Miller.

Miller to the Rangers isn't happening.

Can't get a top 15 player without giving up elite prospects (Schneider/Laf) ++

Canucks could and should get a better return elsewhere.

Top 15. I’m sorry in the league? That seems absurd.

Exactly, because you don't watch the Canucks.
JT is PPG and has been since he signed for the Canucks in a largely AWFUL team.

Here’s like 25-30 I take without thinking before Miller off the top of my head:
McDavid
Draisatl
MacKinnon
Matthews
Marchand
Marner
Huberdeau
Barkov
Rantanen
Pastrnak
Panarin
Kucherov
Point
Stone
Eichel
Kaprizov
Crosby
Ovechkin
Malkin
Aho
Schiefele
Stamkos
Ehlers
Connor
Tkachuk
And that’s just forwards. If I included goalies and defenseman the list gets longer. You could drop the last 10 from my list and he doesn’t crack that and I’m the biased one. League is a lot bigger than Vancouver.

I take your point, but wholly disagree. Swap Miller with Rantanen, Stone, Marner, Pasta, Point and he outperforms them all in BETTER teams. Not only does Miller score a ton and put up PPG, but he also kills penalties and wins faceoffs in one of the worst teams in the league.

I'd have him over Eichel, although Jack's a strange situation.
Equally hard to compare to Bergeron. Put Bergeron in that Canucks team and people wouldn't consider him in a top 50.

Ovi & Sid are obviously next level, but don't exactly have long left.

How much use is Malkin when he plays 20 games a season?

He's comfortably better than Tkachuk, Connor, Ehlers, Schiefele, and Stamkos.

Obviously all a matter of opinion and I am willing to concede that in reality top 25 would seem fairer with Dmen and goalies considered. However I am also firmly of the belief that if you place Miller on a top line in a Colorado/Florida/Carolina etc he's a 90-100 point player.

Last time I checked he was in Tampa with Stamkos, Point and Kucherov and he was nowhere near a 100 points. I stand by my opinion that I take all of those players before considering Miller. Have a good day.
