Think DAL takes it but honestly considering that Klingberg will demand a close to $8M contract can VAN really afford paying four different D-man over $6M a year with only one, maybe two of them being actually worth it? Don't think so.

If they add Klingberg, they need to get rid of Myers or OEL, which is going to be near impossible with the latter.

I'm not so sure Dallas does take the deal. If you're the Stars, you have to know a rebuild is coming up. Do you want to pay Boeser the $7M+ he's going to want (in addition to the awful Benn & Seguin contracts and Miro's $8M+ contract) just to finish out of the playoffs every year over the first half of his contract?

I think the smartest thing for Dallas to do is stock up on high end future assets & try to gear up for a run around the time that Benn & Seguin's contracts expire.

With the cap space they have this offseason, even after signing the RFA trio, Dallas is in a prime position to take advantage of teams that need to shed some salary. That becomes harder to do with Boeser's contract on the books.

I think the value is alright, but I'm not sure Dallas is the right team for Boeser at this juncture.

I think the value is right but can VAN realistically afford the Klingberg extension?

I was thinking taking Boeser in and dealing him further during the offseason. Since he's an RFA his rights doesn't expire as soon as this summer, creating us time to make a favorable deal.

It goes without saying that Klingberg's season hasn't been up to par so we might have to compromise on the value we get with the guy, him being rental and all that, but dealing Boeser further doesn't bring up this problem.

I fully agree that this team needs a rebuild, and I believe acquiring an asset with more "term" might bring us a more desirable return of futures in the long run.

Agreed. This manages to dump Faksa’s contract and you can flip Boeser for a nice fat package. I also wouldn’t be against helping Vancouver sign Klinger in the offseason swapping them some cheaper players for Dickie and Poolman. You know I miss my boy Dickie

Obviously they would need to get rid of Myers to afford Klingberg

Myers won't be hard to unload if the Nucks are interested in re-signing Klinger

I don't think you guys need Poolman when you have Hakanpaa. Canucks will gladly hold onto Dickinson, they need only move Myers if they want to re-sign Klinger

I wouldn’t be against having both of Hakanpaa and Poolman to compliment Suter and Harley

Really? Wow, I never expected to hear that from a Stars fan. Hey, if the Stars miss the playoffs, do you think they will clean house this off-season?

They need to. I’m out of excuses for Nill. Doubt we’ll get anybody better. Issue seems to be all the way to the top. Oh well

I hope your Stars are able to make the most of the prime years of both Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz
