Waaaayyyyy too much for the islanders to give up I wouldn’t even give up the 2022 first straight up the islanders aren’t doing good this season and Klingberg isn’t coming back for sure that trade is way too much for a potential rental

I agree with @Hockeypal as the Isles aren't making the playoffs, so this would be a bad move for them. I'd do this deal if it was a sign and trade at about 6Mil a year for 6 years.
Personally, I feel Beauvillier is over hyped, but Salo is gonna be good. First would need to be lottery protected.

Yeah this isn't about to much or to little or just enough - its more if the Islanders think they are contenders which I am not sure they do at the moment and it makes it unlikely they move any tangible asset for a rental that may be over priced or get a high return based on supply and demand economics of skilled D men.

Klingberg at 6 mil is still rough imo he’s definitely fallen off the past few seasons and now is atrocious defensively maybe Trotz can fix him but Bowness has probably the most similar coaching style to Trotz. I think the complete opposite about Beauviller I think Beauviller is severely underrated and is a very good two way top 6 winger I’d say he’s the islanders 4th best forward he’s praised by analytic nerds and isles fans in general

Only if Klingerg already has an agreement on a long term extension and even that return would be pushing it
